We can confirm that there was an issue on 27th March 2018 with our diabetic eye screening letters. We sincerely apologise for this error and can confirm that the problem was resolved quickly and is being thoroughly investigated.
The corrected letters were resent to anyone affected on Tuesday 3rd April 2018. The letter included a pre-paid envelope as we would really appreciate the incorrect letters being returned to us.

Essex was formed from the East Anglia DESP, South East Essex DESP and South West & West Essex DESP in April 2016.
For patients referred to the programme by their General Practice, we are responsible for inviting, screening, grading & referring to the Hospital Eye Services as required.
The Programme engages a team of qualified Retinal Screeners to support the service.
